Welcome to district84.org (the "Site"), operated by Toastmasters District 84 ("District 84," "we," "us," or "our"), a district of Toastmasters International. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Conditions of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About District 84 and Toastmasters International
District 84 is an administrative district of Toastmasters International and operates this Site to serve members and the public. The Toastmasters name, logos, and trademarks are owned by Toastmasters International and are used in accordance with its brand and policy requirements. Nothing on this Site grants you any right to use those marks. Toastmasters International's own policies, including its governing documents and code of ethics and conduct, also apply to members.
2. Using the Site and your account
Parts of the Site are open to the public; other parts require you to sign in as a member. If you have an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate access to protect the Site or its members, or for violations of these Conditions.
3. Site content and intellectual property
Content on the Site — including text, graphics, images, logos, and layouts — is owned by or licensed to District 84, Toastmasters International, or the members who contributed it, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and download content for your own personal, noncommercial Toastmasters use, provided you keep any notices intact. You may not republish, sell, or commercially exploit Site content, or use automated means to scrape, data-mine, frame, or harvest information from the Site, without our permission.
4. Acceptable use
Toastmasters is built on integrity, respect, service, and excellence, and we expect the same here. You agree not to use the Site to:
- harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others, or post hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or unlawful material;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, including posting others' photos, work, names, or likenesses without permission;
- impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- post advertising, solicitations, spam, chain letters, or non-Toastmasters promotions;
- upload viruses or harmful code, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its security; or
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Conditions or Toastmasters policy.
We may remove content or suspend access, at our discretion, to enforce these rules.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of the content you submit or publish — such as posts, photos, comments, and form responses. By submitting content, you grant District 84 and Toastmasters International a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content as needed to operate the Site and carry out district and Toastmasters activities. You represent that you have the right to share what you submit, that it does not violate anyone's rights, and that it complies with these Conditions. We are not obligated to publish or keep any content, and we may remove, edit, or decline content at our discretion.
6. Links to other sites
The Site may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control, including Toastmasters International. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of those sites. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, District 84 and Toastmasters International disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on it is always accurate, complete, or current.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, District 84, Toastmasters International, and their officers, directors, members, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless District 84 and Toastmasters International, and their officers, directors, members, and volunteers, from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Conditions or the rights of others.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. Please review it. Remember that information you post in areas visible to others may be seen and used by them.
11. Governing law
These Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and as a part of Toastmasters International, by Toastmasters International's governing policies. You agree that any dispute will be handled in accordance with those laws and policies.

We may update these Conditions of Use from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Conditions.
