The Golden Gavel is District 84's per-club recognition for sustained Distinguished Club Program (DCP) excellence over a full program year. It complements the Toastmasters International DCP awards and is tied into D84's Super Star Incentive program.
What a winning club receives
- 50 Super Star Incentive Points credited to the club for the year.
- A Golden Gavel pin for every member of record.
- Recognition at the District Conference and on the District website.
How to qualify
Qualification requirements are set annually by the Program Quality Director and published with the program year's incentives rules. They generally combine sustained DCP performance, membership health, officer engagement, and specific program-quality benchmarks.
The current year's qualification form and deadline are published with the District's incentives calendar.
Submitting
Submit the completed Qualification Form to the Program Quality Director by the published deadline. Late submissions are not accepted — the Golden Gavel is recognized at the District Conference, which sets the cutoff.
